On December 23, a seminar on solar heating technology in high-cold and high-altitude cities and towns in Tibet was held in the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Department of the Autonomous Region. Chen Jin, director of the Housing and Urban-rural Development Department of the Autonomous Region, said that this meeting was a very pragmatic seminar and laid the foundation for the 13th Five-Year Plan. Tibet’s “13th Five-Year Plan” should focus on heating in high-cold and high-altitude areas. The heating method should be studied and discussed in combination with the actual situation in Tibet. Tibet has very rich solar energy resources. The choice of renewable energy for heating is in line with the concept of green and environmental protection and ecological development. .
Professor Zheng Ruicheng of the Chinese Academy of Building Sciences explained the development trend of heating technology in combination with the international and domestic use environment. She believes that the advantages of solar heating in Tibet are very obvious. The total annual solar radiation in Tibet is greater than 6700MJ/m2, which is higher than the solar energy years of many countries in Northern Europe and Central Europe. For the total amount of radiation, Tibet is suitable for heating by comprehensive utilization of solar energy and heat pumps.
Afterwards, Dr. Xu Gang from the Chinese Academy of Sciences gave a systematic introduction to the available advanced technologies, the advantages of central heating, and the special design for high-cold and high-altitude environments. He Tao, director of the Chinese Academy of Building Research, introduced the specific heating design plan of Langkazi County, compared with different heat sources based on the data of specific houses, and conducted feasibility and economic analysis.
Experts discussed at the meeting believed that heating in high-cold and high-altitude areas is an important task put forward by the Central Committee’s Sixth Tibet Work Forum. Tibet is rich in natural resources and has the unique natural conditions for the development of solar heating. The urban heating technology based on solar energy can be used. Providing cost-effective heating services, heating, heating, power supply, oxygen supply, and humidification in areas above 4000 meters is an important part of creating a harmonious living and working environment.
